THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

The Paris Saint-Germain 2018/19 season showcased the extraordinary rise of Kylian Mbappé, who continued to establish himself as one of the most exciting young talents in world football. Following his permanent move from AS Monaco, the French forward became a central figure in PSG’s attacking line, combining explosive pace, exceptional dribbling and clinical finishing. Alongside Neymar and Edinson Cavani, Mbappé formed part of a formidable forward line that helped Paris dominate French football. PSG secured their eighth Ligue 1 title, finishing well clear of their domestic rivals, while Mbappé enjoyed a sensational individual campaign. He scored 33 goals in 29 Ligue 1 appearances, finishing as the league’s top scorer. Despite their domestic success, PSG suffered another disappointing Champions League exit, losing to Manchester United in the round of 16 after a dramatic second-leg defeat at the Parc des Princes. This black Jordan-branded shirt reflects PSG’s growing global identity and captures a season in which Mbappé’s superstar status continued to rise.
