THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT
This FC Barcelona 2022/23 shirt represents the very beginning of Lamine Yamal's remarkable journey towards becoming one of football's brightest young talents. A product of Barcelona's renowned La Masia academy, the Spanish winger made history on 29 April 2023 when he made his first-team debut against Real Betis at just 15 years old, becoming Barcelona's youngest player to appear in La Liga in the 21st century. Wearing the number 41, Yamal took his first steps in senior football during a season in which Xavi Hernández's side reclaimed the La Liga title, establishing the foundations for a new era at the club. Although his appearances were limited as he gradually integrated into the first team, his exceptional technical ability, confidence on the ball and creativity offered a glimpse of the superstar he would become. In the seasons that followed, Yamal would go on to break numerous records and establish himself as a key figure for both Barcelona and the Spanish national team. A special shirt from the earliest chapter of his senior career, capturing the moment a generational talent began his journey at the club where he developed.
