THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT
This FC Barcelona 2016/17 home shirt represents the final chapter of Neymar Jr’s remarkable career at the Camp Nou. As part of the legendary MSN attacking trio alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, Neymar dazzled fans with his extraordinary skills, creativity and flair. The Brazilian superstar played a key role in Barcelona’s Copa del Rey triumph, scoring twice in the final against Alavés. The season also featured one of the most unforgettable moments in Champions League history: La Remontada. Barcelona overturned a 4-0 first-leg deficit against Paris Saint-Germain with a stunning 6-1 victory, with Neymar scoring twice and assisting Sergi Roberto’s dramatic last-minute winner. Following the season, Neymar made headlines worldwide by joining PSG for a record-breaking €222 million transfer fee, the highest in football history. A truly iconic shirt from Neymar’s final season in Barcelona colours, marking the end of an unforgettable era.
