THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIRT

This FC Barcelona 2013/14 home shirt represents the beginning of Neymar Jr.'s remarkable journey at the Camp Nou. Having joined Barcelona from Santos in the summer of 2013, the Brazilian superstar quickly captured the imagination of supporters with his extraordinary dribbling, creativity and flair. At just 21 years old, Neymar was already regarded as one of the most exciting talents in world football, and his partnership with Lionel Messi offered a glimpse of the attacking brilliance that would define Barcelona's future. During his debut season, Neymar scored 15 goals in all competitions and played an important role in Barcelona's Supercopa de España triumph, scoring in the first leg against Atlético Madrid. He also made his mark in the UEFA Champions League by scoring his first hat-trick for Barcelona against Celtic in December 2013. Although Barcelona narrowly missed out on the La Liga title, finishing second behind Atlético Madrid, Neymar's arrival marked the beginning of a new era at the club. A special shirt from the Brazilian's debut season in Barcelona colours, capturing the early stages of a career that would see him become one of the most gifted and entertaining footballers of his generation.
